James Leon Sellers

James Leon Sellers, 75, of Eight Mile entered into rest Friday, October 2, 2015 at his home. Funeral services will be Monday, October 5, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Georgetown Baptist Church. Interment will follow at Smithtown Family Cemetery. Bro. Eddie Brunson will officiate. The family will receive friends Sunday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Georgetown Baptist Church.

Mr. Sellers was a long time member of Georgetown Baptist Church where he has served as a Deacon for 33 years, Sunday School Superintendent, and taught Sunday school for 20 years. He loved hunting, Alabama football, his boys, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Charlie and Dellie Maybell Knapp Sellers.

He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Hazel Sellers, three sons, Tony (Karmen) Sellers of Eight Mile, Kenny (Kay) Sellers of Axis, and Donald Sellers of Savannah, TN, a sister, Julia Campbell of Mt. Clemens, MI, ten grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, numerous family, friends, and church family.
