James “JR” Robert Smith, 82 born June 6, 1936 in Flomaton, Alabama passed away on Friday, January 4, 2019 in Mobile, Alabama. JR was a retired facility mechanic for Kimberly Clark (Scott Paper Company) for 31 years. JR loved traveling in his RV. He enjoyed working on cars, watching wrestling and carpentry. He was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. Jr. was preceded in death by his parents, Lesley B. and Mary Bell Smith. Surviving are his loving and devoted wife of 42 years, Joyce Evans Smith; children, Tommy (Anita) Smith of Daphane, Alabama, Cammy Smith (Brent) Burkett of Lake Wood , Ranch, Florida, Cynthia Parker (Todd) Warren of Evergreen, Alabama and Robert L. (Lynda) Parker, JR., of Port Orange, Florida; grandchildren, Whitney Brown, Corey James (Emily) Smith, Josh (Rose) Brown, Ashton (David) Austin, Kayla Parker and Hayley Burkett; great grandson, Aiden James Brown; sisters, Marie Bingham, Diane (Phillip) Kennedy, Debbie (Mitchell) Phillips and Rita (Don) Blankinchip; Step brother and sister, Jimmy Booth and Gayle Woods also, survived by many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 7, 2019 in Flomaton Cemetery, Flomaton, Alabama
