James Charles Tunink

James Charles Tunink, age 56, of Eight Mile, Alabama passed away on Friday, November 18, 2022. James was born on Sunday, January 16, 1966, in Mobile, Alabama to Charles and Jacquelyn Tunink. He was a loving husband, father, son, brother, and pawpaw. James was a protector; if he was your friend he had your back and would do anything for you. He was one of the most loyal individuals you would have the pleasure of meeting. James loved his coffee; always saying, "he wasn't human until he had his coffee." If he wanted to relax, James would spend a day at the shooting range. James will forever be in our hearts and minds. He will forever be my love, my best friend. Though James will not be on this earth in physical form he will travel in spirit and love with us the rest of our natural lives. He will be dearly missed but never forgotten.

James worked for Chalk Mountain and in the oil fields of Texas. He was always considered the Dad at the camp. When you work like James did, and spend so much time away from home, your colleagues' become your second family. You grow to love and gain respect for one-another. James truly loved, cherished and respected his work family as they loved, cherished and respected him.

James was preceded in passing by his father; Charles Tunink.

Left to cherish James's wonderful memories will be his beloved wife; Lana Lane Tunink, his mother; Jacquelyn Ellen Stall Tunink, three sons: Brian Tunink (Heather), Steven Tunink (Malka), Damian Purvis, one daughter; Holly Purvis (Timmy Nall), one brother; David Tunink, one sister; Stephanie Smith, nine grandchildren: Lil Dee, Zayden, Lucas, Jessy, Natale, Zoe, Aislynn, Toby, Kaiden, along with many extended family members, his chosen work family, and numerous wonderful friends.

A visitation for James will be held Sunday, December 4, 2022 from 12:00 PM until time of service at 1:00 PM at Radney Funeral Home, 1200 Industrial Pkwy, Saraland, Alabama 36571.
