He was born on March 6, 1935 in Prichard, Alabama. He was the son of the late Alfred Ray Williams and the Beatrice Lee Williams. Sidney was preceded in death by his loving wife of 63 years Bettye Jean Stubbs Williams. They were married on February 23, 1957; his brothers and sisters, Mary Jeanette Mitchell, Willie Dewitt Williams, Lena Elizabeth Bush, Barbara Ann Danzey, George Edward Williams and Warren Paul Williams.
Sidney was a painter for C.E. Winstanley Painting Company for 25 years and then worked for William Henry Construction Company for 25 years before retiring. He love to deer hunt with and without dogs for years. He loved to work in his garden in his backyard where he planted and grew the best tomatoes.
Sidney is survived by his only daughter, Sidney Lynne Williams Tucker and son in law, Joseph Alan Tucker and his two grandsons, Matthew Ernest (Julie) Tucker and Joshua Alan (Brittany) Tucker. He has 4 great grandchildren that he adored, Logan Matthew, Brayden Zane, Harper Leigh and Bryce Alan; siblings, Virginia Lee Jones, Mildred Delores "Pete" Morgan. Beatrice Marie (Tommy) Moody, Richard Ray (Rose) Williams and Alfred Earl (Linda) Williams. also, survived by nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers include Matthew Tucker, Joshua Tucker, Jerry Williams, Gordon Lee, Hunter Luddeke and Chris Corley. Honorary Pallbearers are Richard Ray Williams and Alfred Earl Williams.

Visitation will be held at Radney Funeral Home, Saraland on Monday, May 8, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Graveside Service will be celebrate with Reverend Derrell Marshall at Gulf Crest Cemetery, Chunchula, Alabama.
