Jeanette Duke Yeager

Jeanette Duke Yeager, daughter of the late Robert and Anna K Duke, was born on August 25, 1931 in Mobile, Alabama. She went to be with the Lord on Thursday, June 18, 2020 in her home in Satsuma, Alabama surrounded by loved ones.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 41 years “Sonny”, her sons Richard (Diane) Yeager, Bobby (Tootie) Yeager, and Tommy (Shelia) Yeager, and her sister Stella (Kenner) Rodgers.

She is survived by her very devoted son Woody Yeager (Terry Greene), her siblings Mary (Robert) Black, Regina (Tom) Pickering, Bobbie Jean (Nat) Antoine, Jimmy Duke, Eddie (Terry) Duke, Leslie (Trevia) Duke, 7 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, and 5 great-great grandchildren, her sister-in-law Ollie Robinson, many nieces and nephews, and a special family friend Melba Duke.

Jeanette was a dedicated member of Calvary Temple Assembly of God. She spent much of her time praying over community members in their time of need. She loved to travel and spend time fishing.

Her beautiful life will forever be cherished in the hearts of her family and friends. Special thanks to each one who played a vital role in the final days of her life.

A visitation for Jeanette will be held Tuesday, June 23, 2020 from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at Calvary Temple Assembly of God, 102 Industrial Pkwy, Saraland, Alabama 36571. A celebration of life will occur Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at the church. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, 10000 Celeste Rd, Saraland, Alabama 36571. Pastor Steven Perry will officiate.

Pallbearers include Brad Yeager, Ryan Yeager, Robbie Yeager, Andy Black, Alan Black, and Cameron Moss.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made in Jeanette’s name to Calvary Temple Assembly of God, 102 Industrial Parkway, Saraland, AL 36571.
