Jerry Eugene Bingham Jr.

Jerry Eugene Bingham, Jr. – a 55 year-old longtime resident of Saraland and current resident of Orange Beach, AL passed away Saturday, May 9, 2015. Mr. Bingham retired from Alabama Power Company after 30 years of service and was currently working with Riviera Utilities as a supervisor. He and his wife were soulmates and best friends from the moment they met. He loved the outdoors, cooking, and was an avid Nascar and Alabama Crimson Tide fan. His family was the most important aspect of his life. A devoted husband and father, his dedication to his children from the earliest ages, whether caring for them in sickness or as a coach on the baseball and football fields, earned him the nickname "Mr. Mom." Mr. Bingham was raised by his grandmother, the late Etta D. Bingham, and his loving aunt, Dorothy "Dot" Bingham Buford, (Harvel Buford, dec.). He is survived by his beloved wife of 32 years, Dana Bolton Bingham; sons, Ryan Eugene Bingham (Jessie), Jacob Erin Bingham (Ariel), and Zachary Evan Bingham; mother, Doris P. Odom; father, Jerry Eugene Bingham, Sr.; brother, Bobby Bingham (Nancy) and Edward Strachan; sisters, Tracy Bingham and Dana Bingham Miller; mother-in-law, Betty Bolton (Robert Bolton, dec.); sister-in-law, Dona Bolton Raines (Russell); cousin, Doug Bolton; nephews, Joey Miller and Russ Raines; nieces, Emily Raines, Victoria Williams, and Brittany Willie; his closest friends, Shayne and Renee Hennis; other relatives and many friends. Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home in Saraland on Thursday, May 14, 2015, at 1 p.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until the service hour.
