Jesse Ray Moore, 80, was born on June 25, 1945 in Pinehill Alabama, he was a lifelong resident of Eight Mile, Alabama, and he was welcomed into the arms of Jesus on April 15, 2026, in his home surrounded by loved ones.
Jesse had a deep love for music and rarely missed an opportunity to sing. He could often be found at local venues, sharing his voice and enjoying time with friends. He especially cherished performing alongside the Cherry Pie Band, where he created many joyful memories and lasting friendships. Music was not just a hobby for Jesse, it was his passion. It was one of the ways he connected with others and brought happiness to those around him. In addition to his love of music, Jesse was an avid sports fan. He was a devoted supporter of Alabama football and never missed a chance to cheer on the Braves. To know Jesse, was to love him. He never met a stranger, only friends that he hasn’t sang to yet.
He leaves behind the love of his life, his wife of 61 years, Patricia Moore; two sisters, Marilyn Moore and Patricia Beasley; two children, Jackie Sanchez (Mike) and Michael Moore; and four grandchildren, Ashley Sager (Brandan), Amy Reed (Robert), Amber Bohannon (Trey), and Lauren Moore; and his 8 great grandsons, Riley Reed, Ryan Reed, Ryder Reed, Camdan Sager, Ayden Jackson, Casen Weatherly, Collen Weatherly, and Kye Sager. He also leaves behind a large extended family and many dear friends whose lives were made brighter by knowing him.
Jesse was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Gladys Moore; two brothers, Billy Moore and Terry Moore; and three sisters, Gennett Moore, Margie Smith, and Lois Sirmon.
