Jimmie Helen Hartley

Jimmie Helen Hartley – Sunrise, December 5, 1941. Sunset, July 2, 2026. Loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and sister, Helen was a native of Leakesville, Mississippi and a lifelong resident of Satsuma. She attended Vigor High School and owned and operated Hartley Real Estate in Saraland with her husband, Larry, for over 50 years. Helen was a dedicated member of Satsuma Baptist Church where she served as the greeter for many years and worked with the youth group.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Emma Brewer Allen, and her sister, Brenda O’Neal (Tony); Survivors include her loving husband, Lawrence M. “Larry Hartley; children, Terri Smith Chechele, Tim Smith, Tony Smith, and Chad Hartley; grandchildren, Heath Smith, Dalton Smith, Adriana Chechele, Abby Sachdeva, Amanda Mazzei, and Madeline Hartley; great-grandchildren, Aubrey Smith, Logan Smith, McKenna Smith, and Ella Grace Mazzei; siblings, Bobbie Tanner, Peggy Floyd Cote (Everett), and George Allen (Ann); and sisters-in-law and brother-in-law, Cindy Bedsole, Donald and Charlene Lister, and Laurene Bell. Helen leaves behind a legacy of Love through her many nieces, nephews, and friends.
