Jimmie “Curley” Yarber, a native of Wayne County, MS and a longtime resident of Saraland, died on Friday, October 25, 2013. He retired from Scott Paper after 38 years of service. He is survived by his wife, Mary Frances Yarber; six children, Jimmie Dan Yarber, Charles Gregory Yarber and Melissa Ann Yarber, Mary J. Combs, Brenda McKinney and James A. Stringfellow, Jr.; brothers and sisters, Ella Wayne Shirah, Alice Williams, Sara Logan and M.D. “Pap” Yarber; 17 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Kerney and Ruby Yarber and sister, Johnie Allen, brother, George “Sarge” Yarber and grandson, Brenton Lane, Jr. Funeral services will be held from the Chapel of Radney Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at 1 PM. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 PM Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Forest Lawn. Pallbearers will be Danny, Chris, Joseph, Michael, Corey, Ike and Luke. The family would like to thank the staff of the 4th floor at Springhill Medical Center and home health nurses, Mrs. Margaret and Mrs. Felicia.
