

Jimmy Ray Bryant, of Saraland, entered into rest Friday, December 25, 2015, at his home. He was 73. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, January 2, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Radney Funeral Home, Oak Grove Chapel, Saraland. The family will receive friends following the service.
Mr. Bryant grew up in Chickasaw, attended Vigor High School, and worked as a mechanic for the city of Saraland for many years. He served in the Alabama Army National Guard and was activated to serve during the Vietnam War. Jimmy was a hard worker, his passion was working on cars, and he could repair anything, and built his house from the ground up. He loved Gospel music, playing the guitar, boat riding, and being on Chickasabouge Creek. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Bennett Bryant and Thelma Rae Johnson Bryant.
He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Karen Ann Ball Bryant, two children, Jerry (Lisa) Bryant of Saraland and Sherry (Cary) Lindeen of Georgetown, five grandchildren, Randy Bryant, Cory Bryant, Jesse Bryant, Jacob Salley, and Mya Salley, and two great-grandchildren.
