

He was born on April 6, 1937 to Gordon and Nora Mills. He graduated from Century High School in Century, FL. A few years after high school he met the love of his life, Jewel, and they married each other April 4, 1959 in secret. They then moved to Cantonment, FL where he started his lengthy career in what we called the ink business for Sinclair Valentine. Later the small family of three moved to Mobile, AL and eventually to Saraland, AL where Jimmy would retire and remain.
He was not your average 88-year-old. He loved spending time at the cabin, deer hunting, tending to the horses, and tending to his annual garden. He was always going to Hardee’s and running errands. He was also known to be a taxi cab service for the great grandkids. He attended nearly all their functions.
He was preceded in death by his parents Gordon Duncan and Nora Simmons Mills. His beloved wife, Jewel T Mills, of 45 years along with two brothers (Raymond & Connie) and one sister (Mary).
He leaves to cherish his son; Jimmy R Mills, Jr, five grandchildren; David Hill (Amber), Matthew Hill (Morgan), Jamie Warr (David), Joshua Hill (Lauren), and Christopher Mills, 11 great grandchildren; Lara, Wyatt, Madison, Mason, Molly, Emmi, Klowie, Chloe, Kennedy, Landen, and Megan and other family, friends, and relatives that will miss him dearly.
There will never be another Orange Granddaddy like him and will be greatly.
