Jo Marilyn Raines Butts

Jo Marilyn Hawsey Butts, a native of Conecuh County, Alabama was born on September 18, 1935, and left this earthly life on January 27, 2017. Jo Marilyn had lived in the Mobile area for many years and was presently a resident of Satsuma.

Jo Marilyn was preceded in death by her parent; Mary Dewberry Raines and Joe Parker Raines, her husbands, John Hawsey and Aubrey L. Butts; her sons, John (Johnny) Hawsey, Stevie Joe Hawsey and her brother. She is survived by six grandchildren; Kevin P. Hawsey, Michael J. Hawsey, Eric W. Hawsey, Stephanie H. Kring, Stevie J. Hawsey, Emily P. Hodges and great-grandchildren. She also leaves behind Aubrey’s children; Arthur Butts, Aubrey C. Butts, Janet Phillips and their families as well as other relatives and friends.

Jo served as room mother at her children’s schools and enjoyed her travels on bus trips with Aubrey and friends. Jo was a member of Satsuma Assembly of God Church. Previously an active member, she was presently unable to attend due to her health.

Funeral services will be held at Radney Funeral Home in Saraland at eleven o’clock on Monday, January 30, 2017. Visitation will be from 10-11 preceding the service. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to Satsuma Assembly of God Church, P. O. Box 901, Satsuma, AL 36572.
