John H. Butler – a native of Opp, AL and resident of Saraland, AL passed away Monday, January 5, 2015 at home. Mr. Butler worked at Gayfers Dept. Store as Manager of the Ladies Shoe Dept. and later for Dilliard’s for over 30 years. After retirement, he worked for Enterprise. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Chickasaw and served as Past Master of the Chickasaw Masonic Lodge where he recently received his 50 year pin. He was preceded in death by his parents, Grady and Dee Huggins Butler. He is survived by his wife, Jeane S. Butler; one son, Bhrett Butler (Leanna Stamper); one grandson, Chaz Butler; and Leanna’s children, Brandon, David and Sheila. Funeral services will be Thursday, January 8, 2015, at 2 p.m. from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home in Saraland. The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 12 p.m. prior to services. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Cancer Research Center.
