Mr. John Darnell Dossett - a native and resident of Mobile, AL died Tuesday, May 8, 2012 in a local hospital. Mr. Dossett was a lifelong member of Myers Memorial Baptist Church. He retired from the Alabama National Guard after 20 years of service and retired from the State of Alabama Highway Department. He was an active member of the State of Alabama Retired Employees Association. He was an avid golfer and loved the Mobile Bay Bears. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Paul and Mary Theresa Dossett. Mr. Dossett is survived by two sisters, Ruth Dossett (Lee) Lipscomb of Freeport, FL and Billie Dossett of Eight-Mile, AL; one brother, Phillip (Peggy) Dossett of Van Cleave, MS; aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Funeral services will be held at 11 A.M. on Friday, May 11, 2012 from Myers Memorial Baptist Church. The family will receive friends from 10 A.M. until 11 A.M. on Friday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Myers Memorial Baptist Church. Interment will be in Wolf Ridge Cemetery.
