John Kenneth "Kenny" Edmond Passed away on April 24, 2021 at the age of 75, in his hometown of Mobile, Alabama. He was a tough as nails fighter that can be evidenced through his endurance over the past years as a stroke survivor. A kind and generous man, he was always willing to lend a hand to others. He was a jack of all trades but spent his career as an automobile mechanic and welder. He enjoyed hunting (he finally got the “big” one in 1992), fishing, and watching his grandkids play sports.
John was preceded in death by his parents John E Edmond and Pauline Cunningham Edmond, his brothers, Elvin Edmond, Paul Winford Edmond, and Lonnie Edmond, his grandsons Tyler Guy and William Ray Edmond.
He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Susan Jarman Edmond, his children, Yolonda Moore, Daughter, Bobby Wayne Edmond, Son, Christy (Jerry) Guy, Daughter, Jackie (Richie) Hoss, Daughter. His grandchildren, Riley Guy, Grandson, Brelyn Hoss, Granddaughter, and Brandi Edmond, Granddaughter, his great granddaughter Aithne Paige Edmond, his brother Hubert Edmond, his sisters Pat (Bobby) Sasser, Sharon Tomlin, and Nelda McCarter.
Visitation will be from 9:00 until 10:00 am at Radney’s Funeral Home in Saraland, on Saturday May 8th with Funeral services in the chapel immediately following. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Stroke Association, the American Heart Association, or the National Kidney Foundation.
