John Handley Kirk Jr.

Mr. John Handley Kirk, Jr. – age 69, a native of Eight Mile, AL and a resident of Bay Minette, AL died on Tuesday, September 18, 2012. He was a member of East Pointe Baptist Church and a veteran of the U.S. Army. He received a Chemistry Degree from the University of Southern Mississippi and a Physical Therapy Degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston. John was employed as a Physical Therapist with the William F. Green Veterans Home in Bay Minette, AL. He was preceded in death by his parents, John Handley Kirk, Sr. and Helen Dossett Kirk, and step-son, Jeff Moore. He is survived by his wife, Debbie Graham Kirk; three children, Stephanie McKellar (John), John H. Kirk III (Lydia), and Tricia Hughes (Bart); two step-children, Julie Ferguson (Winston) and Jenny Murray (Kyle); seven grandchildren, Emily McKellar, Philomene Kirk, Clare Hughes, Catherine Hughes, Bryce Ferguson, Liya Ferguson, Anna Murray; an aunt, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Saturday, September 22, 2012, at 4:00 p.m. from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home in Saraland. Visitation will begin at 2 p.m. at the funeral home prior to services. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
