John "David" Stewart, Jr., 84, of Saraland, Alabama, passed away November 1, 2022. He was born February 17, 1938 in Greenville, Alabama to the late John David Stewart, Sr., and Bertha Giddens Stewart. David was a Master Electrician and was a member of the IBEW 505. He always enjoyed spending quality time with his family and friends. David will be remembered for the selfless and loving man he was.
David was preceded in death by his parents, one sister; Edna Stewart-Giles, and one brother; Irvin Stewart.
Left to cherish David’s wonderful memories will be his beloved wife; Sylvia Jeanne Wilson-Stewart, two sons: John Vincent Stewart (Marlyn), David Phillip Stewart (Charlene), two daughters: Angela J. Stewart-Norman (Eric), Ava Joanne Stewart-Wein (John), eight grandchildren: Nathan Ryan Stewart (Mallory), Nicholas Jordan Stewart (Megan), John Vincent Stewart, Jr., Caroline Frances Norman-Phillips (Scott), Charlotte Joanne Norman, Michael Stuart Wein, John Gavin Wein, Luke Christopher Wein, two great-grandchildren: Everly Noelle Stewart, Owen William Stewart, along with many extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.
Honoring David as pallbearers will be John Stewart, Nathan Stewart, Nicholas Stewart, Michael Wein, Gavin Wein, and Luke Wein.
The family would like to extend our sincerest gratitude to the Doctors and Nurses at Mobile Infirmary for being so gracious and helpful during our time of need.
A visitation for David will be held Monday, November 7, 2022 from 10:00 AM until time of service at 11:00 AM at Radney Funeral Home, 1200 Industrial Pkwy, Saraland, AL 36571.
Interment will immediately follow on the grounds of Mobile Memorial Gardens, 6100 Three Notch Road, Mobile, Alabama.
