

Johnny Franklin Whatley, 83, was born on June 3, 1938, in Lucedale, Mississippi, to the late Dan and Lucille Mason Whatley. Called to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, Frank passed on November 21, 2021, in Satsuma, Alabama at home surrounded by his loving family. Frank loved watching car racing and was a big fan of NASCAR. He loved watching his great nephews play ball, especially baseball.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Liz Tait.
Left to cherish Frank’s wonderful memories will be his beloved wife, Janice Lomax Whatley; one daughter, Karen Lynn Whatley; nieces, nephews, extended family members and a host of wonderful friends.
Memorials may be made in honor of Johnny Whatley to the Building Fund of First Baptist Church Satsuma, 5600 Old Hwy 43, Satsuma, Alabama 36572, (251) 675-1280.
We would like to extend their sincerest gratitude to Toni, and Lana with Kindred Hospice, all our family, friends, neighbors, our church family, and Pastor Brent Rawson for the care, love, prayers and support during our great time of need. We would like to give a special thanks to Charles, Tim, and Kevin for assistance keeping our grass cut. Thank you to Jana, Brad, Tammy, and Ladye for always being there to do what was needed.
The family will be receiving guests for visitation on Friday, November 26, 2021, at First Baptist Church Satsuma from 11:00 AM until time of service at 12:00 PM.
A Celebration of Life services will be held at 12:00 PM, on Friday, November 26, 2021, at First Baptist Church Satsuma, 5600 Old Hwy 43, Satsuma, Alabama 36572 with Bro. Grant Barber officiating.
