Joy Hardee Logan, a beloved figure in her community, passed away peacefully on December 9, 2025, at the age of 84. Born on July 21, 1941, in Mobile, Alabama, Joy was the cherished daughter of Alvin J. Hardee Sr. and Mary Agnes (Dwyer) Hardee.
Joy’s life was filled with cherished memories, particularly her time spent at the river and her love for playing Bunco. However, her heart truly belonged to her family. She found immense joy in fishing trips and gathering with friends for a delightful fish fry. Joy’s affection for her pets was equally profound.
Joy is preceded in death by her devoted husband of 56 years, Paul Logan Sr.; her parents, Alvin J. Hardee Sr. and Mary Agnes Hardee; and an infant sibling. Her legacy lives on through her brother, Alvin J. Hardee Jr. (Janie), her children, Lisa (David) Lanzo and Chip (Anita) Logan, and their respective families.
Joy’s grandchildren include, Michael (Melesa) Lanzo, Casey (Chris) Etheredge, Trevor (Bella) Logan, Kevin (Ashlynn) Ketchum, Leslie (Bobby) Hall, and Laura (Chris) Kelly. She also has 11 great grandchildren and a very special sister-in-law, Glenda Logan. Joy’s circle of love extends to her nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Radney Funeral Home in Saraland. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, December 17, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. from the Radney Funeral Home Chapel in Saraland, with interment following at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
