Julian Jurnivee "Jj" Neese

July 16, 1931 -Sep. 25, 2016 Julian J. "J.J." Neese, age 85, of Saraland, passed away, Sunday, September 25, 2016. He is survived by his daughter, Sandra (Richard) Lundy of Satsuma, two brothers, Jimmy (Linda) Neese of Saraland and Glenn (Ann) Neese of Franklin, NC, three grandchildren, Bryant, Bridget, and Brooklyn Lundy, two sisters-in-law, Angela Byrd and Myrtle-Ann Seaman, and numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Percy Neese and Nancy Katherine Sowell Neese, a brother, James Verlon Neese and his wife of 60 years, Mary Cornelia Bryant Neese. He was born July 16, 1931 in Andialusia, Alabama. At the age of 9 he moved with his family to Prichard, Alabama where he grew up and attended school at Chickasaw Elementary and Vigor High School. Mr. Neese was a veteran of the United States Air Force. He was a crew chief at Brookeley Field, attaining chief mechanic at the age of 23, and travelling the world training aircraft mechanics. He owned the Spur Service Station in Prichard for 25 years. After selling the Service Station, Mr. Neese started a construction company known as Julian Neese Construction Company where he built numerous homes in Mobile, Baldwin, Escambia, Monroe and Washington Counties. He retired after 40 years in business in the year of 2014. The visitation will be Thursday, September 29, 2016, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Radney Funeral home, Saraland. The funeral service will be held Friday at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Rev Otis Lister will officiate.
