Justin Chad Vickers, age 30, of Chunchula, passed away Sunday, November 27, 2016. He is survived by his mother, Brenda (Burke) Jackson; his father, Ken (Lori) Vickers; his grandparents, Clara Alford, Patricia and Dozier Vickers, and Daniel and Mildred Stevens; and numerous family and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Ervin Alford. Justin was a Class of 2004 graduate of Satsuma High School and attended Faulkner College and Alabama Southern College. He had a baseball career that spanned many years including winning the 2005 World Series for the Raw Dogs and being elected All Elite First Baseman. He was a member of Pentecostals of Saraland Church and had a burning desire to help others, especially the homeless and less fortunate. Visitation will be Wednesday, November 30, 2016, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Radney Funeral Home, Saraland. The funeral service will be held Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at Radney Funeral Home, Saraland. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn.
