Born to James A. & Ruth Langner Wilson, Karen Lynn Wilson, was born on December 21 in Mishawaka, Indiana. She was the oldest of 5.
Later moving with her family to Grand Bay & a graduate of Mobile County High School, Karen raised three boys. Karen worked for years as an apartment manager at Baptist Oaks. She faithfully attended Riverside Baptist Church & later, Creola Assembly of God where her oldest pastored. She has remained at Creola, now Free Life Church.
In 1985, she married Johnny H. Wilson, thus making her Karen Wilson Wilson. In the latter 18 years, she was the main caretaker for Johnny. They enjoyed 38 years of marriage before Johnny passed in 2023.
Karen enjoyed drawing & was the best giver of hugs. She was extremely proud of her sons, grandchildren, & great grandchildren. She was excited with the news of her next expected great grandchild. Loved by many, she was preceded to death by her parents, her husband & a great grandson, James Harlan Edward Sheehan.
She is survived by her children, John (Jennifer) White, Jeremy Brewster, & Nicholas (Ashley) Couch-Wilson; her grandchildren, AshleyNoel, Aaron & Jonathan White, Nicholas, Jordyn, & Ty Wilson; & her great child, Nicholas Wilson.
She will also be missed by her brothers & sister; Paul (Brenda) Wilson, Curtis Wilson, Cyndi Older & Bryan (Laurie) Wilson as well as many beloved nieces & nephews.
Karen’s Celebration of Life will be Saturday, May 10 at Radney Funeral Home 1200 Industrial Pkwy in Saraland, AL. Friends & family are welcome to pay their last respects at 10am with service at 11am.
Karen will be interred with her husband, Johnny, at Alabama State Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
