Katherine “Kay” Terrier Quinley, age 79, of Chickasaw, Alabama passed away on Friday, April 29, 2022. Kay was born November 3, 1942 in Mobile, Alabama to the late James Philip and Nettie M. Terrier. She was one of the first women to work as an Instrumentation Electrician in the maintenance department of International Paper. Kay retired from Mobile County following many years as a bus driver. She was the kind of woman you never saw inside. Kay absolutely loved the outdoors. She would spend her spare time, hunting, fishing, shrimping, working in the garden, at the racetrack, and spending quality time with her boys. Kay loved animals of all kinds. In Kay's younger years she liked playing the clarinet and dancing. She was a master in the water when it came to water-skiing. Kay always loved spending time with her family and friends. She especially loved playing the penny slots with her partner in crime Pam. Kay will be missed by everyone she has touched.
Kay was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Phillis Terrier, and one brother, Charles Philip Terrier.
Left to cherish Kay's beautiful memories will be her three boys: Richard "Tod" Martin (Pamela), Mark D. Martin, Philip "Scott" Martin, one grandson, Richard Tod Martin, Jr. (Djuna), four great-grandchildren: Makala Nicole Martin, Tod James Martin, Theodore Hilton Martin, Hazel Grace Martin, along with many extended family members and numerous wonderful friends.
A memorial service for Kay will be held Thursday, May 5, 2022 at 6:00 PM at Radney Funeral Home, 1200 Industrial Pkwy, Saraland, Alabama 36571, with Bro. Al Moore officiating.
