Born July 5, 1947 in Pascagoula, Mississippi to Donald Elmer Norman and Myrtle Ruth Richardson. He graduated from Vigor High School in 1966. He furthered his education by attending the University of Alabama and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. He was President and CEO of Normco Inc. He was active member of Crawford Baptist Church, where he served as Sunday school director and teacher. June 15, 1967, he married his high school sweetheart and love of his life, Patricia Darlene Wilson. Together they raised three children: Andrea Ruth Norman Jordan, Kimberley Darlene Norman Piper, and Kenneth Dwayne Norman Jr.
He is survived by: Patricia Darlene Wilson Norman (wife), Andrea and Chuck Jordan, Kimberley and Phillip Piper, Kenneth Dwayne and Mandy Norman. He is also survived by his 9 grandchildren: Cameron and his wife Sarah, Hannah Piper, Anna Catherine Jordan, Zackary Piper, Madeline Norman, Bradley Norman, Kaley Piper, Lindsey Norman, Natalie Norman; and one great-grand child, Lily Rose Jordan. He is also survived by his sister Lounette and her husband Ed Hulett, his brother Donny Norman and wife Diane, his sister Carolyn and her husband Pat O’Brien, and his sister Liesey and her husband Don Vance.
He was preceded in death by his father Donald Elmer Norman and his mother Myrtle Ruth Richardson, his brother Thomas Harold Norman “Bud”, and his sister Joyce Pilgrim.
He was an avid fisherman and loved taking trips to the lake with his wife. He enjoyed spending time with family. He shared the Gospel with many in hopes to further the kingdom of Heaven.
Memorial service will be held Saturday, February 13th, with visitation from 12pm to 2pm, service begins at 2pm at Crawford Baptist Church in Semmes, Alabama. The ceremony will be officiated by Dr. Dwayne Norman and Dr. Jay Robertson.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Crawford Baptist Church Building Fund to help service the community.
