Kesha Driskell, 43, was born January 19, 1978 in Mobile, Alabama and passed away July 28, 2021 in Wilmer, Alabama. She loved spending time playing with her son, nieces, nephews and cousins, sewing, crafting, cooking, canning and making experimental jellies and fermentations. She also loved to snuggle up with a good book after a long day of shopping. One of her favorite things to do was go camping with her sister, brother in law and her friends in Texas. She was and will forever be known as the ‘cool Aunt’.
From the time she was young everyone who knew her knew she was born a headstrong leader. She left home at the age of 18 to join the United States Army where she excelled as a medic. Following her military service, she then climbed the corporate ladder at Richmond Bone and Joint Clinic where she was a Physician Practice Manager that led multiple departments where she had a team of 50+ staff members and several physicians. During her 17 year tenure she excelled at everything she touched and won numerous awards.
Kesha was preceded in death by her father, Robert H. Ellison; two aunts, Selena Ellison and Renee Elsbury; her paternal grandfather, Harold Ellison; maternal grandparents, Robert and Beverly Blette; and paternal great-grandparents, LouLa Belle and Hoot Gibson.
Left to cherish Kesha’s beautiful memories will be her beloved son, Robert “Red” Everette Driskell of Mobile; paternal grandmother, Rachel Ellison of Creola; two great-aunts, Jean Gunter of Creola and Mary Frances Rambo and husband Cecil of Creola; aunts and uncles: Pam Widemon and her husband Tony Widemon and their children, David and Danielle of Houston, Texas, June Terry of Spring, Texas, George Elsbury of Grand Rapids, Michigan and Mathelda and Mario Molina of Houston, Texas;
parents, Sheri and Julio C. Molina, of Sugar Land, Texas and Mira Smith of Chickasaw; four siblings, Heather Ellison Watson and husband Thomas of Red Rock, Texas, Ira Smith and wife Cassandra of Saraland, Alabama, Julio Molina and wife Katie of Sugar Land, Texas, Michelle Molina and Carlos Scalise of LA, California; and seven nieces and nephews, Kristen, Kaelan, Ava, Ira, Lily, Julian, and Zoe.
She is also survived by and will be greatly missed by The Driskell family, the Widemon family, the Molina family, her many family members and cousins of Creola, Alabama including but not limited to the Gunter families, the McDonald family, the Swann family, the Rambo families and numerous friends in Texas.
A memorial service will be held from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home in Saraland on Sunday, August 8, 2021, at 2 p.m. followed by a one hour visitation. Memorials may be made in honor of Kesha Driskell to the Wounded Warrior Project.
