Dr. Kimberly C. Faulkner, 46, of Mobile, Alabama, passed away peacefully on August 29, 2025, in Natchitoches, Louisiana. She was born on August 19, 1979, in North Fort Myers, Florida, to Teresa Hall-Sage and the late Rodney Hall.
Kimberly’s life was defined by compassion, dedication, and an unshakable love for her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, daughter, sister, and friend, whose presence left an indelible mark on all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Ben Smith, and is survived by her husband, Keith Faulkner, with whom she built a life filled with love and family.
She is lovingly remembered by her children, Liam Smith and Victorija Hall; her stepchildren, Kayla Allen, Rylie Faulkner, and Keegan Faulkner; and her cherished grandchildren, Brennon Allen, Weston Allen, and Mackinley Allen. Kimberly also thought of Sarah Clark, as a daughter of her heart, and welcomed her fully into the family.
She also leaves behind her mother, Teresa Hall-Sage, and stepfather, Mike Sage; her brother, Derek Hall, and sister-in-law, Courtney Hall; her niece, Brinkley Hall, and nephew, Jase Stagner. She will be dearly missed by her grandparents, Evelyn and Robert Cornelison.
Kimberly was a woman of many passions and endless curiosity. She loved the ocean, the joy of Mardi Gras, and the magic of Halloween — affectionately known to her as Spookytime! She cherished time with family, friends, and animals, often dreaming of a farm filled with Highland cows and every creature in need of love. A fantastic cook and coffee enthusiast, Kimberly brought warmth and creativity into every space she entered. She was a brilliant wordsmith, a lover of live music and festivals, and a spirited traveler of the world who embraced new experiences with wonder and enthusiasm. Above all, she was a proud supporter of the Auburn Tigers — never missing a chance to cheer them on with a joyful “War Damn Eagle!”
Her academic and professional accomplishments were a reflection of her drive and brilliance. Kimberly earned her Ph.D. in Public Policy from Georgia State University, a Master’s in Criminal Justice and an Associate in Legal Studies from Faulkner University. She was deeply passionate about the legal field and used her expertise to uplift and inspire others.
While she achieved so much in life, Kimberly often said her greatest accomplishments were her children, Liam and Victorija, who were the heart of her world.
In addition to her family, Kimberly was a founding member of the SNHS Sisterhood, a close-knit circle of friendship and support she helped build alongside Sunshine Dickson, Hannah Boltz, Beth Bullock, Roxanne Pinto, Spring Kelly, Danette Stewart, and Nicole Di Siro. Her legacy of strength, encouragement, and community will live on in the hearts of her sisters and all those whose lives she touched.
Kimberly’s memory will be treasured by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her love, kindness, wisdom, and vibrancy will continue to inspire her family, friends, and colleagues for years to come.
