Lisha and Tonya. So sorry to hear about Lamar. We are never prepared for these things. Great man he was, I remember going to Leeds Alabama with him to get roller skates. Lots of memories he created for us all at the rink and drive in. Thanks Lamar. You will be missed.

Lamar was a self made business man who lived the American dream. He was a Christian man, family oriented and philanthropist. My personal relationship with him goes back to the 1960’s and then as an employee of Gulf Hauling my respect for this man and his family is great. We will all miss Lamar's influence in our lives. My prayers and blessings go with this family for their continued success in Christ. Thanks for all the memories.

Tanya and Lisha,
Your dad loved you two so much. I know this is really heartbreaking news. Being his secretary for 20 years, he talked about you all the time. I was, also, privileged to know of many of the good works that he and you all did over the years. I pray that God will always watch over him and your families. He will be greatly missed…

Dear Tonya and Alisha,
My heart and prayers go out to you all! I saw Lamar back in summer 2012 when he came to see Momma (Minnie) just before she passed. He pulled a prank on me when I let him in. His hair was all white and I didn't even recognize him. He told me he was selling vacuum cleaners. He was always good for a laugh... I know he's having a great reunion in heaven with your Mom, Aunt Bonnie, Uncle Clyde, all the brothers who have gone before and Momma and Daddy. We have so many awesome memories growing up. Haven't seen you two since you were still pretty young. Sending lots of love and hugs and pray that God will surround your families in His loving arms ❤
I know you will forever feel his absence but praise God for the love you all shared.

I was his little “wanna be” cheerleader and he made sure I got to every game no matter what! He just wanted me to love Mobile Christian and be involved, even if he was my driver and I was his only passenger. I loved him very much. Boy, I have a lot of cherished memories! I love you Tanya!

We are so sorry for your loss of Lamar. We shared many good times with your parents when we were in the Mobile area and continued our friendship with them until the present time. We were all young with small children. We were blessed to have known your grandparents as well. May all of the family find peace and comfort at this time.
