Larry Paul Gordon

He was the owner/operator of D&L Logging for many years. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved to fish and hunt, especially duck hunting.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dewey and Ruth Gordon; and sister, Betty Lou Delaune.

Survivors include his longtime companion, Jody; three daughters, Michelle Gardner (Marc), Marcia Brannon (Ritchie), and Maranda Fitzpatrick (Mike); the mother of his children, Ramona Gordon; eight grandchildren, Jessica Byrd (Justin), Amanda Gardner (Polo), Sean Brannon, Matthew Vaughn (Katie), Shane Brannon, Bridgett Fitzpatrick (Micah), Hunter Vaughn, and Trey Fitzpatrick; thirteen great-grandchildren, Keerstin, Adrianna, Bailey, Emma, James, Callie, Juicy, Maizley, Millie, Kayden, Brantley, Willie, and Layton; cousins, Shari Keeton (Roger), Dale Baggett (Jenny), Pam Baggett (Carol), and Bryan Baggett (RuthAnn); nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held Friday, November 1, 2024 at 1 p.m. from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home in Saraland. The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 11 a.m. prior to services. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers are Sean Brannon, Matthew Vaughn, Shane Brannon, Hunter Vaughn, Trey Fitzpatrick, and James Woods. The family would like to give special thanks to his nurse Erica with Deaconess Hospice and to Debra Collins. Larry was a loving companion, father, Paw Paw and friend who will be greatly missed.
