Lillian Francis Stinson Lee, born January 18, 1930 a native of Georgiana, Alabama and a longtime resident of Chickasaw, Alabama died at her home on May 28, 2024. She was a longtime member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church and a dedicated member. She taught Sunday school and wherever there was a need she was there later her husband and herself moved their membership to First Baptist Church of Chickasaw.
Lillian was a devoted and loving wife of Sammie E. Lee who passed away on July 24, 2017. They had been married for 68 years. They loved to play jokes on each other.
She loved her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her 3 children, Ronnie G. Lee, Rita Lee Jarrell (Terry), and Mike Lee (Sheila); 7 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren; her one and only sister, Wanda Newton of Greenville; 3 sisters-in-law, Voncile Orr, Mearl Stinson and Jewell Lee; also, survived by numerous nieces, nephews of whom she loved dearly.
She loved flowers and named them after those who gave them to her. Also, gardening and Crochet. She read her Bible every day, you could hear her at night praying. Never forgot to ask the Lord to forgive her of any sins she may have committed. She never wanted to offend anyone. If she did she was quick to ask the Lord to forgive her. She always said that there is no one she doesn’t love. She never considered herself perfect but tried her very best. To us she lived and exemplary life before God and her family, praying each one would one day find salvation. That weighed heavy on her heart.
