
Lillian Neal Lomax – a native of McCullough, AL and resident of Satsuma, AL died Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at home. Mrs. Lomax was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Satsuma where she was a member of the choir for over 40 years, W.M.U. and served on various committees. She was preceded in death by her first husband, J.W. “Peanut” Brown; and step-son, James P. Lomax, Jr. Survivors include her husband, James Lomax; three children, Dan Brown, Mobile, AL, Rickey (Rose M.) Brown, Mobile, AL and Amelia (John L.) Pope, Fairhope, AL; two step-sons, Michael Dewayne (Martha) Lomax, Saraland, AL and Edwin Doyle (Andrea) Lomax, Satsuma, AL; one sister, Maxine O’Brien, Kenner, LA; eight grandchildren, Chris Brown, Sharon Lloyd, Tracey Gaynos, Rickey Brown, Jr., Michael G. Green, Adam Pope, Ryan Pope and Meghan Medlin; several great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Funeral services will be Sunday, March 27, 2011, at 3:00 p.m. from First Baptist Church of Satsuma. The family will receive friends at the church beginning at 2:00 p.m. prior to services. Graveside services will follow at 5:00 p.m. in Memory Gardens of Fairhope. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to First Baptist Church of Satsuma’s Food Pantry.
