Lillian Lous Irby Stewart, age 95, passed away peacefully on November 25, 2025 in Saraland, Alabama. She was born on February 24, 1930, in Laurel, Mississippi to Charles and Lillian Dearmond, the 7th of 8 children and the only girl.
She was a long-time resident of Chickasaw, Alabama, she was a retiree of South Central Bell Telephone Company and a former member of Central Church of Christ in Saraland, Alabama.
Lois was preceded in death by her 1st husband and the father of her children, George E. Irby; her 2nd husband, Earl Stewart; her 7 brothers, Charles, Clifton, Bobby Lee, Adron, Truman, Leslie and Alton Dearmond.
She is survived by her son, Terry L. Irby; and her daughter, Sandra Irby Smith (Robert Wayne Smith);
Lois was a beloved mother, sister, aunt, and friend to many. She had a very kind heart and gave of her time and means to family members, friends and neighbors. Her happy spirit, words of encouragement, and good deeds touched many lives.
A graveside service will be held at Mobile Memorial Gardens, Mobile, Alabama on Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at 11:00 AM.
