Lindy Wright

Lindy Wright – an 84 year-old native of Land, Alabama and longtime resident of Eight Mile passed away at his home on Monday, May 22, 2023. Mr. Wright was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and retired from the Alabama State Docks after 36 years of service. He was a faithful member of Azalea City Church of Christ. Mr. Wright will always be remembered for his caring and outgoing personality.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Wallace and Esther Wright, and beloved wife of 61 years, Dora Mae Wright. He is survived by his children, Greg Wright (Carla), Greeta Graham (Jeff), Jennifer Donovan (Brian), and Becky Windham; sister, Dorothy Hendley (Henry); brothers, Harvey Wright (Nancy), Hershel Wright (Ann), and Randall Wright (Jeanette); seven grandchildren, Andrew, Davianne, Chase, Paige, Bridgette, Mark, and Lindsey; nine great-grandchildren; many other relatives and friends. The family would like to offer a heartfelt thanks to the staff of Covenant Hospice for all of the loving care and support they provided.

Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home in Saraland on Monday, May 29, 2023, at 3 p.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until the service hour. Interment will be held in the Alabama State Veterans Memorial Cemetery on Tuesday, May 30, at 10 a.m. Condolences may be offered at www.radneyfuneralhome-saraland.com.
