Livi Gray Speese, born January 10, 2022, slipped peacefully away from her parents’ loving arms into the waiting arms of Jesus on April 13, 2022. Livi fought valiantly for life from the moment she was born, just as her parents had fought for her during pregnancy. Her 3 months and 3 days on this earth changed her family’s lives forever. They will eternally be grateful for the goodness of God, which allowed them to witness this incredibly strong and tremendously loved baby girl who persevered in spite of so very many obstacles.
Even though her time here was limited, her life was nothing short of miraculous. An army of prayer warriors and supporters followed Livi’s story as she struggled through each day of her short time on this earth. The family truly felt the spirit of God each and every day, holding them, giving them strength and comfort, and sustaining Livi. It brings joy to the hearts of her parents to know that the Lord was glorified by so many prayers being lifted on their behalf. Livi will be remembered as a precious gift who opened wide the eyes of her family and others as well, to the amazing love and astonishing power of God’s grace.
Livi was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, William Harold and Evelyn Campbell Speese, and her maternal grandfather, Robert Lee Raines.
She is survived by her maternal grandmother, Kathy Taylor Raines, her loving parents, William Harold and Robin Raines Speese, and siblings, Hailey, Easton, and Carson Speese, and Lila Hendrick. She is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Graveside Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, April 25, 2022, in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, Saraland, Alabama. All family and friends are welcome.
