Margaret Stagner Mims

Margaret Stagner Davis Mims, better known as Granny, Aunt Marg and the Dumpling Lady. A native and lifelong resident of Chunchula, AL. died on Wednesday, January, 11, 2017 in the comfort of her home surrounded by family. She is preceded in death by her husband Parnell “Junior” Mims, parents Fletcher and Tiny Stagner, sisters Annabelle Stagner, Marie Wilson, Maxine Smith, Alice Stagner, Peggy Huggins, Rita Newburn Pierce and her loving son in law Jeff Lane. She is survived by her daughter Connie Lane, son Gary Wayne Davis (Pat). Grandchildren Stace Davis Burgess (Boo), Kara Davis Everett (Eddie), GW Davis, Jennifer Davis Garlotte (Brad), Casey and Lauren Johnson. Great grandchildren Alec Burgess, Brittany Davis, Ethan Davis, Connor Everett, Aubrey Davis, Emma Garlotte, Paige Everett, Destiny Leitner . Brothers Sidney Stagner (Ann), Charlie Stagner (Raydale), and sister Pat Sims (Charlie). Loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and her very best friend Mattie Smith. Funeral services will be from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home, 1200 Industrial Pwky, Saraland, AL. with Reverend Marc Hobbs and Keith Brannan officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:00 – 8:00 pm on Sunday, January, 15, 2017 at the funeral home. Serving as pallbearers will be her nephews Chopper Stagner, Robb Brannan, Tim Ellison, Daryl Leachman, Benny Newburn and Fat Jack Pierce. Honorary pallbearers will be the gang at Eddie Smith’s store. The family wishes to offer a special thanks to Dr. McDaniels, Dr. Gilbert, Dr. Heller and the staff of Kindred Home Health for all the love and attention shown. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Arrangements under the direction of Radney Funeral Home, Saraland, AL.
