Margaret Waters Webb was born in Georgetown, Al on June 21, 1934, to the late Oliver and Selma Waters, and passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by loved ones on August 28,2022.
Margaret raised her three children alone while working at the Scott Paper Company after she lost her 1st husband while he was in the service. She met our “Pawpaw”, Orville Clark, in the late 1970s. They joined hands and hearts, creating a large, loving family.
In her later years, she looked forward to watching her cooking shows and any sports she could find (mainly Alabama and Saints football). Her was favorite thing was shrimp and gumbo from Kravers on Friday nights. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and friend.
She is proceeded in death by her parents; husband Orville “O.L.” Clark; son David Webb; daughters Selma Sims and Lucy Porter; stepdaughter Sue Hammons; granddaughter Kathy Andrews; and grandson Timothy Webb.
She is survived by a very special best friend of decades, Mrs. Shirley Waters. Grandchildren; Miranda (Kevin) Nieman, David Wesson, Brian (Whitney) Wesson, Scott (Brooke) Goff, Hank (Renee) Goff, Chris (Marcia) Webb, Corey Webb, Heather Clark, Mindy Porter, Addie Holleman, Matthew Holleman and Laura Brantley. Stepchildren; Doug (Donna) Clark, Lisa (Tim) Holleman. A loving son and daughter-in-law through the years Randall and Marie Sims. Great grandchildren; Kevin Nieman Jr., Colton Wesson, Addie Wesson, Avery Wesson, Tonya (Seth) Gillett, Jonathon (Kayla) Goff, Justin Goff, Chloe Goff, Kaylee Goff, Alyzea Clark, DJ Robinson, Allie Thompson, Ashton Thompson and Niki Brantley. A very precious great-great granddaughter and namesake, Aubrey Margaret Gillett.
Big thank you to a very special couple that came to see her frequently to deliver the Lord’s word, Tim and Penny Faircloth.
The family would also like to extend their gratitude to Meaghan, Elizabeth and Kelley with Kindred Hospice for taking such good care of her in the last weeks.
Visitation for Margaret will be held Saturday, September 3, 2022 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Radney Funeral Home, 1200 Industrial Pkwy, Saraland, AL 36571, followed by a funeral service at 2:00 PM. Interment will be held in Valhalla Memorial Gardens, Eight Mile, AL.
