Marjorie McClanahan Kimbrell, 93, of Chickasaw, Alabama passed away October 2, 2025. Born in Florence, Alabama (Lauderdale County). She graduated from Central High School in 1950, and retired from Robert Lee Elementary School in Satsuma, Alabama. She was the daughter of the late Burns J. McClanahan and late Mae Austin McClanahan. She was the widow of James Harold Kimbrell. She loved dealing with her flowers and was a member of two quilting groups.
She was a member of Chickasaw First Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Dale M. Clemmons.
Marjorie is survived by one daughter, Pamela K. Brantley of Mobile, Alabama; one son, Dr. Steve Kimbrell (Kay) of Tuscaloosa, Alabama; four grandchildren, Michael Schertzinger (Tricia) of Wake Forest, North Carolina, Brooke B. Grissom (Matt) of Henderson, North Carolina, Alicia K. Maxi (Jeremy) of Mobile, Alabama, and Stevie Kimbrell, Jr. of Ann Arbor, Michigan; three great-grandchildren, Mattie Brooke, Payton and Mason.
Funeral service and burial will be for family only. There will be no visitation.
