Mary Dee Roney Pearson

Mary Dee (Roney) Pearson – was born May 1, 1918 and went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, May 10, 2011. She was a devoted Alabama Football Fan. Roll Tide!! She was preceded in death by her husband, Maury (Doc) Pearson; parents, Andy and Mamie Roney; one brother, Clarence Roney; and three sisters, Bessie Thomas, Marie Thomas and Margaret Pierce. Survivors include one son, Steven (Delores) Pearson; one daughter, Linda (David) Reed; four grandchildren, Mike (Patti) Herring, Angie (Ben) Lowery, Steven Pearson, Jr. and Stephanie (Jake) Young; five great-grandchildren, Benjamin and Victoria Lowery, Kaylen and Kylie Weaver, and Alexis Pearson; numerous other relatives and many friends. Mary Dee followed the path that God laid for her as a child. She served the Lord and was always a strong spiritual, faithful, and devoted woman, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, friend, and spiritual mentor to everyone she met. When the Lord called her home she took his hand rejoicing in His glory and is now our bright, beautiful guardian angel! A celebration of life will be from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home in Saraland on Friday, May 13, 2011, at 11:00 a.m., followed by graveside at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens on Celeste Road. The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 9:00 a.m. prior to services.
