Mary Louise Searcy

Mrs. Mary Louise Dumas Searcy - resident of Chickasaw, AL, longtime member of First Baptist Church, Chickasaw, AL departed this life on January 25, 2011. She was born March 13, 1923 in Bigbee, AL. She graduated from Washington County High School, Chatom, AL, Class of 1943. She retired after 34 years with International Paper Co., Bag Mill Division on April 1, 1985. She was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. Charlie Richard Dumas and Mrs. Flora Ruth Grimes Dumas of Bigbee, AL, her husband of 43 years, Mr. Davis Devon Searcy and her sister, Mrs. Gladys Dumas Carlisle of Bigbee, AL. She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Sherry Diane (Ernest) Holland, of Wilmer, AL; two sons, Ernest Wayne Searcy (Ann) of Fayetteville, NC and Charles Harold Searcy of Chickasaw, AL; six grandchildren, Patrick, Tammy, Kyle, Kyra, Amber and India; eight great-grandchildren, Alysha, Elijah, Isaiah, Davis, Sarah, Braxton, Alec and Izabella; one great-granddaughter, Amiya; two sisters, Mrs. Johnnie Mae Dumas of Bigbee, AL and Mrs. Annie Ruth Ross of Chatom, AL; numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Saturday, January 29, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home in Saraland. Visitation will be Friday from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens.
