Michael S. Blalack

Michael Sidney Blalack, 77, of Saraland, Alabama, passed away peacefully on December 8, 2025. Born on October 26, 1948, Mike lived a full and vibrant life rooted in faith, family, hard work, and the simple joys of the outdoors.

Mike proudly retired from UOP/Honeywell after a long and dedicated career. Though he enjoyed the satisfaction of a job well done, his true passions were found far from the workplace. Fall meant one thing to Mike: deer hunting season. A lifelong outdoorsman, he lived for mornings in the woods. When the Alabama Crimson Tide took the field, Mike was in his element- cheering loudly, wearing crimson proudly, and never missing a game.

Summers brought a different kind of happiness. Mike loved loading up the camper, heading to the beach, with his family under the sun. Those camping trips and beach weekends created memories his family will carry forever.

He is survived by his loving wife of many years, Charlene Blalack, who was the steady heartbeat of his life; his children and their spouses: Cary and Kim Blalack, Shane Blalack, Tim and Rita Brady, Lee and Amanda Jones, and Ashley and Nathan Herring and Sian Greene, as well as a host of cherished grandchildren, great- grandchildren, extended family, and lifelong friends.

Mike lived a good life- the kind measured not in years, but in love given, stories shared, and time spent doing what he loved with the people he loved most.

Roll Tide, Mike. You'll be missed!

Visitation will be held at Radney Funeral Home-Saraland on Thursday, December 11, 2025 beginning at 12:00 pm until 1:00 pm with Graveside services beginning at 2:00 p.m. at Mobile Memorial Gardens with Rev. Kenny Odom officiating

Serving as pallbearers will be Nathan Herring, Dale Herring, David Brooks, Lee Jones, James Brady and Bobby Cates.
