Minnie Carroll Odom Smith, 71, of Satsuma died peacefully at a local facility on Thursday, October10, 2013. Carroll worked for many years as a Professional Chef at premier hotels across the United States and was the recipient of a Courtesy Award from the Hilton Hotel Corp. A great lover of the outdoors, she enjoyed camping and fishing especially around Dauphin Island.
She was a member of Cornerstone MCC.
Survivors include one sister, Yvonne (Marty) Harris of Saraland; nieces Debbie (Rickey) Hartley of Daphne, Kimberly (Billy) Pitts of Satsuma and a nephew, Michael (Sharon) Harris of Lawrence, MS and a host of other relatives. Carroll is also survived by her constant and faithful companion, Muffin.
Carroll chose to have her body donated to the USA Anatomical Research Program. A Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
