Morris Lee Jones Jr.

Morris Lee Jones, Jr, lovingly known by his family as "Pop" and to his friends as "Butch", went home to the Lord on December 28, 2018, at the age of 74 years old in the comfort of his own home, surrounded by his family. Butch was born on March 31, 1944 in Mobile, AL to Morris Lee and Maye (Bazzell) Jones, Sr. and was a lifelong resident of Satsuma AL. He is preceded in death by his parents, beautiful bride and wife of 44 years, Catherine (Kelley), and sister Elaine.

Butch was an avid fisherman and hunter. He spent most of his weekends fishing and hunting and spending time with his children and grandchildren whenever he could.

Butch will forever be remembered by his children, Lee (Donna) and Jason (Kelley) Jones. Butch will also be fondly remembered by his 9 grandchildren, Kellee, Caleb, Micah, Isabella, Dillon, Ava, Canaan, Elijah, and David, his great-grandchildren Piper, Brycen and Aubree, and his friend, Shelia Anderson, and sister, Linda Bates. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and a friend to everyone.

A special thank you to the people at Springhill Hospice, especially Theresa and Cynthia, for their loving care and support during his final days.

Wake service will be held Tuesday, January 1, 2019 from 5-8 p.m. at Radney Funeral Home, 1200 Industrial Parkway, Saraland, AL.

A Funeral Service in memory of Butch will be held on Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at 2:00 p.m., at Radney Funeral Home, 1200 Industrial Parkway, Saraland, AL with Pastor Roy Hill officiating. Burial service immediately following at Forest Lawn Memorial Garden, 10000 Celeste Road, Saraland, AL.
