

Mrs. Nancy Rousseau was born in Iron Mountain, Michigan on September 23, 1931 to Peter and Annie Vicenzi. After High School, she received her degree as a Registered Nurse. She married Lee Laitala and they raised four children together. She later returned to her hometown to care for her parents. In 1983 she married Forrest Rousseau and they enjoyed 30 happy years together.
Following their retirement, Nancy and Forrest moved to Flowood, Mississippi where they enjoyed traveling and spending time with family and friends. Nancy loved her church life, playing cards and board games. Nancy had a loving, caring heart and gave generously of her time to all those in need.
Nancy passed away peacefully on March 10, 2025 in Mobile, Alabama. She is survived by her brother James Vicenzi (Ione), daughters Katie Vaughan, Kristine Dillon (Bob) and Karen Laitala, and son Robert Laitala (Carrie). She is also survived by her grandchildren Joshua Dillon (Daisy), William Dillon (Julie) and Rebecca Broadbent (Eric) and three great-grandchildren Delaney Dillon and Connor and Aubree Broadbent. She was preceded in death by her parents Peter and Annie Vicenzi, her brother Douglas Vicenzi and her husband Forrest Rousseau.
Her family extends a special thank you to Lynn Tomin for the care and comfort she provided to Nancy during the past few years.
A Celebration of Life for Nancy will be in Iron Mountain, Michigan at a later date.
