

A World War II veteran of the United States Army, Mr. Robinson served in Europe (including Berlin, Germany), Japan, and the Philippines. He retired from Scott Paper after 38 years of service. He was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Chickasaw and was an avid fox and deer hunter.
Mr. Robinson was preceded in death by his parents, James Walter Robinson and Carrie Mae Yong Robinson, and daughter, Sandra Kay Cook. He is survived by his beloved wife of 69 years, Mary Blanche Scoggin Robinson; daughter, Mary Teresa Goolsby (Glenn); grandchildren, Tod S. Young, Shannon D. Griffin (Larry), and Robert A. Stolz (Rachel); sister, Inez Lewis; brother, Johnny Robinson, Jr. (Jeanette); three great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home in Saraland on Tuesday, November 5, 2013, at 2 p.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 p.m. until the service hour.
