Rebecca "Retha" Gilley Faulk, age 72 went to her heavenly home on Sunday, February 8, 2026 after a battle with brain cancer. Retha joins her parents Jack and Marie Gilley and niece Faith Ann in heaven.
Retha was born to Jack and Marie Gilley on June 6, 1953 in Mobile, Alabama. She met her husband Paul at Vigor High School and married in 1974 and were blessed with two daughters Rebecca and Rhonda. Throughout their 51 years of marriage, Paul and Retha enjoyed traveling the country and experiencing new places. In addition to being a dedicated and loving wife and mother, Retha had an unwavering faith in God, serving in numerous ministries throughout the years at Lakeview Assembly of God and Fountain of Life Church, including working in the church office.
Retha battled and conquered breast cancer twice knowing that God had a plan for her.
Retha is survived by her husband of 51 years, Paul, siblings Brenda, Anthum and Paul Franklin, daughters Rebecca (Nathan) Whisenant and Rhonda (Brock) Ware, along with several nephews and nieces, who find comfort knowing Retha is at peace in the arms or her Savior.
Visitation will be held at Fountain of Life Church, Saraland, Alabama on Wednesday, February 11, 2026 beginning at 9:00 a.m. with funeral services beginning at the church at 10:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Cemetery.
