Rhonda Renee (Tucker) Fulgham, left this earthly life and entered into her eternal Heavenly home on Tuesday April 18, 2023. She was born on March 3, 1961, to the parents of Henry and Faye Tucker. She was a longtime resident of Chickasaw, Alabama, and currently lived in Semmes Alabama. She is preceded in death by her father Henry Tucker Sr, her daughter Brandi Tucker, step-daughter Kimberly Fulgham, son-in-law Durand Rivers, and niece Taylor Tucker. She leaves behind her husband Steve Fulgham, daughters Kristin (Aaron) Thompson, Britni (Gator) Rivers-Robinson, sons James (Nicole) Fulgham, Randi (Audrey) Pope, Seth Fulgham and 12 grandchildren, as well as her 2 brothers and sisters-in-law, Bo (Cindy) Tucker and Kyle (Jami) Tucker and many nieces and nephews.
Rhonda was a woman of God, loving wife, mom, nana and friend. She had a spirit of love and concern for others and an empathetic nature that drew her to those in need. Her greatest love was Jesus, and then her family. She was so proud of her children and grand-children. In her most recent years, she has dedicated her life each day to loving and raising Brylee and Zachary, her late daughter’s youngest two children. She often bragged about them and the joy they brought her. Though her other grandchildren did not live in her home, she equally loved and adored them all. She has spent her time in the past year, since the passing of her dad, serving her mom and spending much of their time together. She joyfully told everyone she met that her mom was her best friend.
In her early years of adulthood, Rhonda enjoyed a profession as a barber, and especially enjoyed playing dress-up and doing the hair of her three girls, Kristin, Britni and Brandi. As the years passed, she turned her barber skills towards the use of ministry, often cutting hair for women at the Home of Grace, or elderly women and men in nursing homes.
Dedication and love are words that so beautifully describe Rhonda. She was fully dedicated to her Lord and Savior Christ Jesus, and loved to testify to anyone she talked with, about how Jesus had saved her and how he blessed her and her family. She was a servant to those in need and found peace in helping them see their value and worth in the Lord as well as working as a caregiver to the elderly. Rhonda was loved by so many on this earth. Anyone who called her phone was familiar with her beautiful voicemail greeting “Blessed Is the day the Lord has made, let us be glad and in rejoice in it.” While those of us who loved her are mourning the loss that we feel today, she is rejoicing in heaven, and would want us all to rejoice and be glad in the day that she received her eternal reward with Jesus her Lord.
