Robert Robinson

Robert was born September 13, 1950 to Lionel and Annice Robinson. He enlisted in the United States Army in 1970 serving as an aircraft mechanic during the Vietnam Era. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and Vietnam Campaign Medal. He was also a member of the United States Army Calvary Regiment based in Colorado. After his honorable discharge, he became a firefighter proudly serving both the Prichard and Mobile communities.

Robert spent time outdoors playing golf, fishing and riding motorcycles. He enjoyed walking his beloved dog Boxco and running around town with him. He was a history buff and loved to share it with whomever would listen.

He is survived by his children, Linette Thames of Saraland and Brian Robinson of Mobile. Two grandchildren, Reece and Tristan and one sister also survive him.

Graveside services with military honors will be held on Friday, October 2, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at the Alabama State Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 34904 AL-225, Spanish Fort, Alabama.
