

Phillip was born on June 16, 1954, in Mobile, the beloved only child of Calvin and Rosalie Boshell. He attended Lyman Ward Military Academy, later continuing his education at Auburn University. Following in his father’s footsteps, Phillip became one of Mobile’s finest machinists, known for his skill, dedication, and work ethic.
A passionate football fan, Phillip never missed an Alabama game and wore his Crimson Tide pride with honor. He was also a proud member of the Pentalpha Masonic Lodge, where he formed lifelong friendships and served his community.
Phillip is survived by his devoted wife, Cynthia Boshell of Mobile, AL; his children, Ambra Gregson, Camerin Steen, Jade Byrd, Caitlyn Reid, and Phillip Boshell II; his stepdaughter, Michele Waldrop, from his first marriage to Debrah Long; and his cherished grandchildren: Kaitlin Knowles, Tyler Boshell, Kara Baldwin, and Carter Boshell. He also leaves behind many extended family members and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his beloved son, Michael Boshell, and his parents, Calvin and Rosalie Boshell.
Funeral services will be held from the chapel Radney Funeral Home in Saraland on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at 1p.m. with Pastor Rhodes of Chickasaw United Methodist Church officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 12 p.m. Interment will be in Mobile Memorial Gardens. Condolences may be offered at www.radneyfuneralhome-saraland.com.
Phillip will be deeply missed but never forgotten. His legacy of loyalty, hard work, and love for his family and Alabama football will live on in all who knew and loved him.
