Rodney Floyd Freeman, age 54, passed away Friday, March 11, 2016 at Springhill Medical Center. A Celebration of Life will be held Sunday, March 20, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at Skidmore Park, 624 Norton Ave. Saraland, AL 36571.
Rodney was a native of Saraland, AL, where he was a beloved coach for almost 25 years within the Saraland City Park System. He was an electrician at G.A. West & Co. and served in the United States Marine Corps. He was preceded in death by a special cousin, Chuck Black.
Rodney is survived by his wife, Denise Westfaul Freeman; his parents, Peggy (Donald) Black and Floyd (Nell) Freeman; his mother-in-law, Charlotte (Boe) Hartfield; his father-in-law, Buck (Frances) Westfaul; three children, Valerie (Brandon) Davis, Kinnon Freeman, and Jeremy Freeman; four grandchildren, Meliya Freeman, Laila Davis, Izabella Freeman, and Cady Jane Davis; a sister, Rhoma (Rex) Goram; a sister-in-law, Summer Gwin; a special nephew, Ryan Phillips, aunts, uncles, nephews, and cousins.
