Ronnie was an avid fan of Alabama football, Atlanta Braves, New Orleans Saints, Boston Celtics, and of NASCAR. He had a love of service that he demonstrated by joining the Army and becoming a member of the Company A 3 Battalion 325th Infantry Regiment (Airborne) 82nd Airborne Division in which he became a part of Operation: Urgent Fury in Grenada.
He retired after 25 years of service with Satsuma Water and Sewer, and previously worked with the Mobile Area Water and Sewer System and Saraland Water Department.
Ronnie is survived by his brothers Randy (Jennifer) Calhoun of Uriah, Alabama, Jody (Lara) Calhoun of Satsuma, Alabama, nephew Will Calhoun of Uriah, Alabama and many extended family members and friends.
He was a past member of the VFW Post 7320 in Saraland, and a current member of the American Legion Post 164 in Citronelle.

Visitation will be held at Radney Funeral Home-Saraland on Tuesday, August 4, 2026 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be held at Alabama State Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Spanish Fort, Alabama at 2:00 p.m.
