

Rubye “RuRu” Stinson Riley – a native of Dale County, AL born to the late William Hugh Stinson and Addie Owens Stinson on March 30, 1928, passed Wednesday, November 16, 2011. She was a member of Celeste Road Church of God. Mrs. Riley was preceded in death by her siblings, Hellen Stinson, Lexie Stinson, Exie Clark, Virginia West, Willie Mae Price, Grady Stinson, Clyde Stinson, and Jake Stinson, and daughter-in-law, Doris Riley. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, William Herbert Riley; sons, Jackie “Jack” Riley of Houston, TX and Dennis (Judy) Riley of Saraland/Butler; daughter, Marsha (John) Hattenstein of Chickasaw; grandchildren, Scott (Elizabeth) Riley, Michael Riley, Amanda (Jason) Powell, Corey (Renee) Hattenstein, and Jeremy (Trina) Hattenstein; great-grandchildren, Lexie, Kaylen, Sara, Jackson, Mattie, Gabriel, Hunter, and Ehren; sister, Nina Kellogg of Sacramento, CA; and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives. The family would like to give a special thanks to Southern Care Hospice, Janet Austin, Tiffany Portis, Don Turberville, Danny Cresswell, Jannetta Shaw, Pauline Little, Phil and Wanda McDonald, William Kyser, Linda Sowell, Joyce Ball, and Dr. Scott Carver. Funeral services will be held from the chapel of Radney Funeral Home in Saraland on Saturday, November 19, 2011, at 2 p.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12 noon until the service hour. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. Serving as pallbearers and honorary pallbearers will be her grandsons and great-grandsons.
